Armed conflict took their home, yards, schools and toys, and they won’t see their friends soon. But it could not take away their childhood, thoughts, dreams and personality. These children can be anywhere, in any conditions, and everyone has his or her own story, his or her own problems, his or her own misfortune, but everywhere they remain children. And we should remember this.
Serhiy Morgunov’s project tells about children who are called IDPs and thus separated from the rest of society. This injustice discriminates against young humans. They do not differ from other peers. These are children with childish opinions, dreams and affairs.
The artist offers an unusual look. Instead of looking at the children's problems from above, from the adult position. Speaking in terms of the psychologist Eric Berne, we are suggested to transfer to the position of a child and engage in dialogue with young heroes.
